Team Members
About Team Members
Team Members are staff users who have an active role in responding to or managing a specific case. Team Member roles are different from User Roles in the system:
- User Roles — Determine a user's overall access and permissions within SafeGrounds
- Team Member Roles — Define a user's responsibility within a specific case
Some case access and functionality is limited to assigned Team Members. For this reason all individuals actively working on a case should be listed with the appropriate Team Member role.
Each Team Member is assigned a Role (their responsibility within the case) and a Classification (the case lane or aspect they are working within, when applicable).
Primary Case Responsibility
Every case should have a clearly designated individual responsible for primary case management and documentation. This role is typically assigned as:
- Case Owner
- Title IX Coordinator — for PC cases
Additional Team Members may support the case but one individual should be clearly identified as the primary point of responsibility.
Types of Team Member Roles
The following Team Member roles may be assigned within a case. Available roles may vary based on classification and user permissions.
- Admin
- Alternative Resolution Facilitator
- Case Team Member
- Clery Coordinator
- Complainant Dean on Point
- Dean on Call
- Inquiry Investigator
- Investigator
- None
- Resident Advisor
- Respondent Dean on Point
